Affiliate Marketing

One of the best ways to make money with no website is to promote affiliate programs. This is called affiliate marketing. Its one powerfull marketing channel which provide easy access to everyone, even those with no marketing knowledge!!!

An affiliate program is a partnership with an online merchant, that is, a website that sells goods and/or services. As an affiliate you promote the merchant’s products and/or services. And when someone you referred to makes a purchase you get a commission.

From the merchant’s perspective, by partnering with affiliates they are able to increase sales and extend their brand reach through a low cost marketing strategy.

It is a win-win situation for both merchants and affiliates.

There are 3 types of affiliate programs:

1. The first is Pay-Per-sale programs. These programs pay you a fixed dollar amount or a percentage of sales generated by your referral.
2. In Pay-Per-Lead programs, you earn a set amount whenever your customer fills out a survey, requests for info or join as a member.
3. Pay-Per-Click affiliate programs are similar to Pay-Per-Lead. You get paid each time one of your visitors clicks on a link to that program site.

As an affiliate, you join the merchants’ programs, and you promote the merchants’ websites. But you don’t need to have a website to promote the merchants’ websites. All you need to do is to promote the link to the merchant’s website.

There are 3 criteria you should use to select the affiliate programs to promote. The first criterion is the commission the merchant is offering. Most merchants offer between 10 to 70% of sales generated. Obviously the higher the commission, the better.

The other thing that you should look for is how reputable the merchant is. Most merchants use a performance marketing company to run their affiliate programs. Almost all of these companies are reputable.

The last criterion you should look for is the sales letter of the merchant. This is the landing page of your affiliate link. If this page does not give an irressitable offer, your conversion rate will most likely be low. Merchants that sell many products usually do not have good sales letters on their website. If you want to promote these merchants' products, then you have to develop a landing page (web page) for each of the products you want to promote.

Here are some of the affiliate programs that I have found that meet all the 3 criteria:
